Reds, cinnamon, dark olive greens, orange, brilliant yellows – all around us. And then there is also leaf blowing,… leaf gathering… leaf disposal, mulching, prepping the garden.
In between all of that work those of us who live in Black Mountain, North Carolina besides loving the vast array of color and the cool crisp air , we love the fall festivities! October with traditional Octoberfest’s, is traditionally the time to gather around the first fires telling stories and drinking a tall ale or hot cider.
Asheville which is just a hop and skip away from our wonderful town is the nations largest craft Beer capital of America some even calling it “Brewtopia”. There is even a website devoted to local Brewery’s called NC Brewers Guild.
Of course we have our own set of craft brewers in our town. Pisgah Brewing Company , Burial Beer Company and , Lookout Brewing Company are all located right here in Black Mountain. Now if you do go out and have a few, remember two things… 1. Do have a designated driver or just take a stroll home and come work out for a few hours at Cheshire Fitness Club before taking in those calories. Balance is the key in life and not over doing anything.
Besides visiting one of our local brewery’s we have local music.
Check out these local music halls.
The Trailhead has an open jam every Thursday night
